It’s very easy to overdo stories about the risks of obesity. Indeed, those who are overweight grow increasingly angry at the growing number of scientific studies telling them how to live their lives. In this, there are parallels with the campaigns to encourage people to quit smoking. For years, the tobacco industry suppressed evidence of the link between nicotine and cancer, and disputed articles that tried to warn people of the risks. Today, even with the Surgeon General’s warning on the packaging, current smokers resist laws that aim to limit smoking in public places. They see this as intrusive. Nevertheless, as with nicotine, so with obesity, there is increasingly clear evidence of the link between excess body weight and disease. For the purposes of this article, the link between erectile dysfunction (ED) and obesity is also clearly made.

The evidence collected from around the US shows that about 35% of all men over the age of 50 are likely to experience ED at some point in their lives. Both obesity and the resulting lack of physical exercise significantly increase the risk. There are three reasons for this. The first is the change in the level of testosterone as the body gains weight. The second stems from the deposit of plaque on the lining of the arteries. The initial condition is called atherosclerosis – a hardening of the arteries and a restriction in the flow of blood. In turn this increases the blood pressure and can lead to heart disease. Finally, the overweight are more likely to become diabetic. As diabetes progresses, there can be nerve damage which first appears as ED.

To be straightforward, the remedy is easy. If you lose weight and increase the amount of physical exercise you do, this is likely to improve your general health and, even more importantly, relieve the ED. So here is another article telling you to modify your lifestyle. Except that, for many men, the ability to get or maintain an erection is a vital part of their self-esteem. If something is interfering with this, some action is called for. In its early stages, the standard ED medications will usually produce results. But, if left untreated by diet and an exercise routine, only levitra will maintain sexual satisfaction. This drug is the most powerful of the three ED medications and it will usually produce sufficient hardness to achieve penetration and ejaculation. But there will come a time when even levitra will not help. When you reach this stage, the choice has become stark. You need to diet, take drugs to reduce your blood pressure and cholesterol levels, and exercise. As your weight begins to fall, levitra will restore erections. If you maintain the weight loss, you can probably return to the weight and level of health where an erection will come without the need for a drug. So, if you are overweight and suffering from ED, buy levitra to restore sexual activity and start losing weight.

We have all heard about the dangers of inhaling second hand smoke.  Many people wonder if the dangers of inhaling cigar smoke are just as dangerous, or more.  Unfortunately, it appears that being exposed to secondhand smoke from a lit cigar can be just as dangerous-or more-than regular cigarette smoke.

All secondhand smoke emitted by tobacco products are classified as environmental tobacco smoke.  Environmental tobacco smoke refers to all the secondhand smoke released from tobacco products that are lit, such as cigars or cigarettes.  Research indicates that the smoke from cigars and cigarettes releases many of the same types of irritants.  Both cigar and cigarette environmental tobacco smoke contain nicotine, carbon monoxide, hydrogen cyanide, and ammonia.  The environmental tobacco smoke from cigars and cigarettes also releases well-known carcinogens such as vinyl chlorine, benzene, arsenic, hydrocarbons, and nitrosamines.  Cigars, because of their size, usually release more environmental tobacco smoke than cigarettes.  Being around cigar smoke, then, can pose more of a health threat than inhaling secondhand smoke from a lit cigarette.

Even though both cigars and cigarettes release similarly toxic environmental tobacco smoke, there are some key differences between the two.  These differences are related to the very different ways that cigars and cigarettes are manufactured.  The production of cigars consists of a long process of fermentation and aging.  During the production and fermentation process, large amounts of carcinogens are produced.  Once a cigar has been fermented and aged, they are wrapped in a nonporous wrapper that keeps the cigar from burning too quickly.  The fermentation process and nonporous wrapper both contribute to the high concentrations of carcinogens in the smoke of al it cigar.  When a cigar is lit, the carcinogenic compounds produced during the fermentation process are released.  The nonporous wrapper also contributes to an unclean burn that is high in carcinogens.

Another reason why cigars produce greater amounts of carcinogens is in their girth and length.  Cigars are simply bigger than cigarettes.  Their size allows them to release much more smoke, and in turn, much higher concentrations of toxins and irritants. Also, cigars are designed to be smoked much more slowly than regular cigarettes, and cigar smokers are encouraged to take their time and enjoy the relaxing experience. This results in longer smoke times, and obviously, the creation of much more smoke. It is advised for all non-smokers to avoid areas where cigars are being smoked.  If you smoke cigars, make sure to do so in a well-ventilated area.

It is a fact that smoking during the pregnancy is not good for the baby. Yet, do you know that to be around somebody else who are smoking is not good for you and your baby? The research shows that secondhand smoker has the same impact as what the smoker has.

There are some effects of secondhand smoke on the pregnant mothers. The first effect is . Centers for Disease Control (CDC) mentions that pregnant women who are exposed to the secondhand smoke have higher risk to give birth with low birth weight baby. The risk is up to 20%. It means that there will be so many consequences for the development of the baby.

Another effect is that the secondhand smoke pregnant mothers have greater risk of delivering the baby who has died in the uteri. And, although the baby is safely born, he/she has greater risk of experiencing sudden infant death syndrome (SIDS). Or, he/she has bad lung function. This will be so problematic for the baby who was born prematurely.

All the effects above can possibly be caused by the toxin consumption of the fetal. All the items including toxins which the pregnant mother ingests will pass through the umbilical cord and then come to the developing fetus. Those toxins include tobacco smoke which contains tar, nicotine, and also carbon monoxide. These toxins are very harmful for the development and the growth of the baby.

In addition, the toxins can also affect the mother. However, they are inhaled by the mother. It exposed the mother to the risk of suffering diseases as well. If the mother suffers an illness which is caused by the secondhand smoke during the pregnancy, it leads both the mother and the baby to risk. Long exposure to secondhand smoke can cause the mother to suffer emphysema or bronchitis which is very risky for the pregnancy. If the mother is in risk, the baby will be in risk as well.

In short, secondhand smoke is very harmful for the baby, it will be better to get away from individual who are smoking. It is to keep your baby healthy in his/her development.
